In this work, blend films of hydroxypropyl cellulose - HPC and poly(acrylamide-co-dialidimethylamonium) - PAADDA were prepared by solvent casting method and characterized by means of attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). ATR-FTIR spectra of HPC/PAADDA blend films indicated chemical modification with glutaraldehyde (GLU). TGA curves displayed that the thermal stability of HPC/PAADDA blend films is higher than PAADDA film. From EIS, dielectric constant (?r), dielectric loss (?i), AC and DC conductivities were determined for all the films.
