By G. Temple London: Oxford University Press. Pp.xi + 195. Price 25s. This is essentially an account of some of the phenomenain fluid flow for which predictions based on the concept of a perfect fluid are quantitatively adequate for many practical purposes. The book differs from earlier, classical works on Fluid Dynamics by concentrating on types of flow which are actually observed, and by the consequent omission of problems, which, though ingenious, are of mathematical interest only.
