Laser-assisted electron-atom radiative recombination in short laser pulses

The authors develop a theoretical treatment of laser-assisted electron-atom radiative recombination in the presence of short laser pulses, which incorporates contributions from the laser-field-free process along with the laser-field-modified process. The theory is then illustrated with numerical examples involving either isolated pulses or pulse trains.
