of sociological resource, and to acquaint them with the names and methods of current scholars, I assigned a number ofjournal articles to be read and critiqued. To foster a better understanding of what thejy read, I insisted that the critiques be written in the form of a letter to their parents. The experiment has fostered good class discussion, a better knowledge of the library and the research process, and delighted many, parents.
