Experimental assessment reveals marine ecotoxicity of soluble and nanoforms of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole, suggesting environmental risks.
This repository provides the experimental data supporting the assessment of the environmental behavior and marine ecotoxicity of soluble 2-mercaptobenzothiazole (MBT) and its layered double hydroxide (LDH)-based nanoforms (ZnAl-MBT LDH and MgAl-MBT LDH). The dataset includes measurements of particle size obtained by dynamic light scattering (DLS), zeta potential, dissolved metal cations (Al, Zn and Mg) concentrations determined by Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP-OES), and dissolved anions (NO3, NO2, and Cl) concentrations quantified by High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). It also comprises acute and short-term chronic ecotoxicity data obtained for up to 15 marine species representing different trophic levels.
