Amid rising global trade uncertainty and increasingly stringent environmental requirements, strengthening export resilience has become essential for firms’ sustained participation in international markets. Using matched data on Chinese A-share listed firms and customs transactions from 2009 to 2023, this study examines the effect of green technology innovation (GTI) on corporate export resilience. The baseline results show that GTI is positively associated with export resilience, and this finding remains robust across a range of alternative specifications. Heterogeneity analysis shows that the resilience-enhancing effect of GTI is concentrated mainly in low-pollution manufacturing firms, with relatively limited effects on other types of firms. Further analysis suggests that the moderating role of external shocks is not uniform across shock types: compared with the trade-friction period, the resilience-enhancing effect of GTI appears to be stronger during the COVID-19 pandemic. Overall, this study provides micro-level evidence on the strategic value of GTI in shaping corporate export resilience and offers implications for more targeted trade and environmental policies.
