A remarkable new genus and two new species of M antispidae ( N europtera) are described from the O riental region. Allomantispa L iu, W u, W interton & O hl gen.n. , currently including A. tibetana L iu, W u & W interton sp.n. and A. mirimaculata L iu & O hl sp.n. The new genus is placed in the subfamily D repanicinae based on a series of morphological characteristics and on the results of total evidence phylogenetic analyses. Bayesian and P arsimony analyses were undertaken using three gene loci ( CAD , 16S rDNA and COI ) combined with 74 morphological characters from living and fossil exemplars of M antispidae (17 genera), R hachiberothidae (two genera) and B erothidae (five genera), with outgroup taxa from D ilaridae and O smylidae. The resultant phylogeny presented here recovered a monophyletic M antispidae with † M esomantispinae sister to the rest of the family. Relationships among M antispidae, R hachiberothidae and B erothidae support R hachiberothidae as a separate family sister to M antispidae. Within M antispidae, D repanicinae are a monophyletic clade sister to C alomantispinae and M antispinae. In a combined analysis, Allomantispa gen.n. was recovered in a clade comprising Ditaxis McLachlan from A ustralia, and two fossil genera from the P alaearctic, † Promantispa P anfilov ( K azakhstan; late J urassic) and † Liassochrysa A nsorge & S chlüter ( G ermany; J urassic), suggesting a highly disjunct and relictual distribution for the family.
