Proton rotating frame relaxation time (T1ρ) measurements have been made on hydrozine sulfate from 137 to 495 °K, and single crystal deuteron resonance measurements have been made from 297 to 501°K. The T1ρ measurements exhibit minima at 167 and 315 °K and decrease very rapidly above 473 °K. The deuteron resonance spectrum is constant up to 483 °K and narrows into a single central line above 488 °K. The measurements below the phase transition at 481 °K are analyzed in terms of NH3 reorientation and 180 °K flips of the N2H6++ ions. Above the phase transition the measurements are analyzed in terms of translational diffusion of the N2H6++ ions.
