It is shown that, based on the criterion that a correctly calibrated spectrophotometer will give the same transmission curve for straight-line absorptions as would be obtained with monochromatic light, the calibrator of Part I may be used for wave-length calibration with an error of less than 1 percent of slit width. Specific recommended calibration procedures are given.
