Proposes a new framework to enhance knowledge reliability and address the Great Filter in technological civilizations.
This paper proposes a new interpretation of the Great Filter hypothesis within the Fermi Paradox. It argues that the fundamental limitation of technological civilizations may lie not in technology itself, but in the growing gap between technological power and the reliability of the knowledge used to control it. Wars, ecological crises, uncontrolled AI, technological catastrophes, and governance failures are considered possible manifestations of this deeper epistemological problem. The paper introduces CTMinfo as an engineering framework designed to create maximally accurate and verifiable information in domains where objective verification is achievable, and considers whether such an approach could contribute to overcoming the epistemological Great Filter.
