Arterial hypertension (AH, hypertensive disease) is one of the most significant medical and social problems of our time, requiring increased attention, including among the youth [1]. AH represents a global public health issue affecting millions of people worldwide [2]. As part of the study conducted in the 2024-2025 academic year, testing was carried out among students from universities in Yoshkar-Ola (Mari State University), Cheboksary (Chuvash State University named after I.N. Ulyanov), and Krasnoyarsk (Krasnoyarsk State Medical University named after Professor V.F. Voino-Yasenetsky) to assess their level of awareness regarding hypertension treatment. The analysis of the results has revealed that the level of knowledge about the treatment of hypertension in these groups is comparable, but overall, not sufficiently high. 42.1% of the students (from 35.7% to 44.4%) answered correctly for the first question, 16.6% (from 9.5% to 22.2%) – for the second question, 59.5% (from 58.9% to 60.0%) – for the third question, 55.5% (from 43.5% to 66.6%) – for the fourth question, and 82.5% (from 82.0% to 85.7%) – for the fifth question.
