This article presents an outdoor measurement campaign for the characterization of building materials at mmWave frequencies, focusing on reflection loss for specular reflections. The study considers five building materials commonly found in urban environments: concrete, glass, brick, composite material, and concrete tiles. Measurements were carried out on the campus of the Universitat Politècnica de València using a vector network analyzer and horn antennas over the 26–36 GHz frequencies for eight angles of incidence between 10 ∘ and 80 ∘ . The measurement data were post-processed in Matlab, including time-domain gating to isolate the reflected contributions associated with the material. Apart from providing reflection loss values, the article also discusses how the observed characteristics relate qualitatively to structural aspects of the facades (e.g., apparent homogeneity or layering) and compares representative values with previously published results. The reported data and observations are intended to support future measurement-based studies and modeling of mmWave propagation in indoor and outdoor urban-like environments.
