We have performed 18 calycoureterostomies, 15 of which were done as the primary treatment for pelvioureteral junction obstruction. This is the first report to analyze the results of primary calycoureterostomy in a sizable series of patients. The details of the cases as well as the indications and results of the procedure are presented. © 1981 by The American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc.FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByDe La Taille A, Houdelette P, Houlgatte A, Saporta F, Berlizot P and Lanfrey P (2018) Ureteropelvic Junction Avulsion Due to Nonpenetrating Abdominal Trauma Treated With Caliceal UreterostomyJournal of Urology, VOL. 157, NO. 5, (1840-1840), Online publication date: 1-May-1997.McQuitty D, Boone T and Preminger G (2018) Lower Pole Calicostomy for the Management of Iatrogenic Ureteropelvic Junction ObstructionJournal of Urology, VOL. 153, NO. 1, (142-145), Online publication date: 1-Jan-1995.Mesrobian H and Kelalis P (2018) Ureterocalicostomy: Indications and Results in 21 PatientsJournal of Urology, VOL. 142, NO. 5, (1285-1287), Online publication date: 1-Nov-1989.Jarowenko M and Flechner S (2018) Recipient Ureterocalycostomy in a Renal Allograft: Case Report of a Transplant SalvageJournal of Urology, VOL. 133, NO. 5, (844-845), Online publication date: 1-May-1985.Ehrlich R, Whitmore K and Fine R (2018) Calycovesicostomy for Total Ureteral Obstruction after Renal TransplantationJournal of Urology, VOL. 129, NO. 4, (818-819), Online publication date: 1-Apr-1983.
