PEDOT:PSS is an ideal electrode material for flexible supercapacitors, yet its low intrinsic conductivity limits practical applications. This study demonstrates that the relative dielectric constant (εr) of ether solvents governs a nonmonotonic optimization of PEDOT:PSS performance. With dipropylene glycol methyl ether (εr = 11), the conductivity reaches 2670 S/cm and the volumetric capacitance reaches 148 F/cm3. Spectroscopic analysis reveals that a moderate εr maximizes the conformational transition of PEDOT chains into the quinoid structure, whereas low or high εr reduces efficiency. This work establishes εr as a predictive parameter for conductive polymer modification, moving beyond empirical trial-and-error.
