Recreational sports have become the standard way for improving individual health and quality of life. If teachers could participate more in recreational sports, it would promote healthier lifestyle, relieve stress, and encourage greater numbers into education-related careers. This study was designed to evaluate the influential factors and relative weights of personal preference and external environment by applying a hybrid MCDM model combining DEMATEL with ANP methods. The purpose of this study is to demonstrate how the MCDM model can be applied to recreation sports and find the important factors that can enhance recreational sports participation and select activities that can enhance educators’ ability. In the results, the external environment was determined to be the most important dimension. In the seven evaluation criteria, “psychology” was the most important factor to be considered when planning the recreational sports program, followed by “entertainment” condition.
