The problem of localizing an interface made of a perfect electric conductor (PEC) buried within a half-space is addressed. In particular, under multi-frequency plane wave illumination, we analyse the achievable resolution and its dependence on the configuration at hand. We show how the achievable resolution can be improved with respect to the case of a free-space host medium, by properly exploiting multiple reflections occurring at the background interface.
