After a crystal of [(R)-1-cyanoethyl-dα][(S)-1-phenylethylamine]bis(dimethylglyoximato)cobalt(III) was exposed to a xenon lamp for two weeks, its structure was analyzed by neutron diffraction. The deuterium atom was exchanged partially with one of the three methyl hydrogenes of the cyanoethyl group. The exchanged one is located closest to the deuterium atom.
