I wish to report a case in which the patient regained normal sexual function when another beta-blocking drug, atenolol, was substituted for propranolol.A 44-year-old man with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome type B had frequent attacks of re-entry tachycardia with the normal pathway for antegrade and the accessory pathway for retrograde conduction. Propranolol, 40 mg two times daily, gave some, but not satisfactory, reduction of tachycardia attacks. Elevation of the dose to 80 mg two times daily gave further reduction and...References1.
