Lodging services often involve interactions with guests and their pets. This study acknowledges the growth of pet-friendly establishments and proposes a scale to measure experiences in pet-friendly accommodations. A mixed-methods approach was adopted, starting with qualitative construct identification, followed by testing through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) with 178 pet owners who reported memorable accommodation experiences with their pets. Results indicate three experience dimensions (Interactions, Entertainment, and Escapism) that positively influence Behavioral Intentions. The findings highlight employee-guest-pet interaction as key to creating memorable experiences and advance reflections on value cocreation in hospitality, integrating pets into this dynamic.
