Semiclassical approximations are applied to atomic collisions with complex potentials. The effects of damping due to the imaginary parts of the complex potentials are investigated in the JWKB and eikonal approximations. Numerical illustrations are given for a model (H^-, H) system constructed in Paper I of this series. The calculated results for such a model are compared with available experimental measurements for electron-transfer and collisional-detachment processes in the (H^-, H) collision system at high energies. Important differences, which come primarily from the inadequacy of the model potentials and the non-adiabatic effects, are found between the theoretical and experimental results.
