Using the dependence of the thermoluminescence light sum storage efficiency in NaCl(Ag) on the energy of exciting ultrasoft X-rays (180 to 240 eV) at 80 K the phenomenological diffusion parameters of hot holes in NaCl are estimated. The next averaged values are obtained: diffusion length LOP ≈ 720 Å, free mean path lp ≈ 180 Å, relaxation time τrp ≈ 5 × 10−14 s, thermalization time τOP ≈ 2.3 × 10−12 s, diffusion coefficient Dp ≈ 20 cm2s−1, mobility μp ≈ 40 cm2 V−1 s−1, capture cross section on Ag+ centres σAp ≈ 1.5 × 10−15 cm2.
