Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging confirmed a very rare, atypical form of left ventricular apical pseudoaneurysm in a 47-year-old woman.
Case Report (n=1)
CMRI is useful for confirming the diagnosis of atypical left ventricular apical pseudoaneurysms, which require early surgical intervention due to rupture risk.

CMRI may aid diagnosis of rare atypical LV apical pseudoaneurysms; leaves open questions on rupture risk and intervention timing.
Introduction: Left ventricular Pseudoaneurysm is an interesting clinical entity. The left ventricular (LV) Pseudoaneurysm, in contrast to true LV aneurysm, contains only pericardial layer and fibrous elements in its wall. Case Presentation: We report a very rare case of a 47-year-old woman presents with an atypical form of LV apical Pseudoaneurysm confirmed by cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI). Conclusions: Due to the tendency of LV Pseudoaneurysms to rupture, early surgical intervention is recommended.

Sani et al. (2014) conducted a case report in Left ventricular apical pseudoaneurysm (n=1). Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMRI) was evaluated on Diagnosis of atypical LV apical pseudoaneurysm. Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging confirmed a very rare, atypical form of left ventricular apical pseudoaneurysm in a 47-year-old woman.
