The original 18 cases were all dyspneic, and the majority had persistent cough and varying degrees of cyanosis, clubbing, and chest pain. Steinberg (2) added 3 cases, all unequivocably disabled. Two responded to surgical removal of localized involved lung tissue, and the third died after prolonged corticosteroid therapy.
