The reports have particularly emphasized the need for stricter regulation of health and adult social care providers and the need to use statutory powers to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.This article outlines how the provisions of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 aim to address this need to further regulate quality and safety standards in health and social care.
