However, except for Raynaud's phenomenon, peripheral vascular diseases as clinical manifestations of SLE have received relatively little attention in the literature. There have been only isolated reports of gangrene of the extremities (5-8), ischemic ulcers (9-14), thrombophlebitis, and erythermalgia (15) occurring in SLE.
