The possibility of explanation of the observed asymmetry in the forward-backward scattering of He+ fragment produced from the collision induced dissociation by electron impact of (HeH)+ ion, in terms of the distortion polarization of the orbitals has been examined. The results that this factor cannot account for the observed effect.
