Dynamic multipole polarizabilities of 1, 2 1 S and 2 3 S states of helium are calculated through a variation-perturbation approach. They are used to calculate the dispersion coefficients, C 6 , C 8 , and C 10 , using 32-point and 64-point Gauss-Legendre integrations. The dispersion coefficients govern the interaction energy for the long-range electronic interaction between two helium atoms. The present numerical results are compared with other calculations.
