The adsorption and activation of N 2 are significant steps for ammonia (NH 3 ) production, and the traditional photocatalysts are limited in the reaction processes. To explore more efficient catalytic materials, MoS 2 nano‐flowers stacked by ultrathin sheets were in situ grown on oxygen self‐doped porous biochar (OPC). The resultant MoS 2 /OPC composites with large exposed surface sites could be helpful to charge migration, and adsorption and activation of inert N 2 molecules, which are favorable for excellent and stable photocatalytic N 2 reduction reaction (NRR) in pure water. As a result, the productivity of ammonia is significantly improved by MoS 2 /OPC and the NH 3 generation rate is as high as 37.878 μmol ⋅ g −1 ⋅ h −1 . The results presented new insights into rational design of highly active catalysts for enhanced NRR performance.
