Metric coefficients, for which formulas are given for the CIELUV and CIELAB color‐difference equations, are compared graphically and with published values for one observer, PGN. The corresponding chromaticity differences for any deviation from any point in the CIE x,y chromaticity diagram are easily determined from the metric coefficients.
