Hangings is one of the preferred modes of committing suicide nowadays. Cultural, social and psychological aspects have the direct role in the causation of suicide. The present study highlights the various contributory and precipitating factors associated with the suicidal hanging. Objective: To investigate the socio-demographic profile, motives/modes and incidence of other factors associated with hanging.
