A rapid, one-pot synthesis of surfactant-free MoS₂nanoscrolls by supercritical fluid processing is demonstrated. The MoS₂nanoscrolls showed size dependent luminescence behaviour. This method is promising for the direct exfoliation of other 2D layered materials.
