Spatial modeling study reveals overlapping ecological and heritage corridor networks in agricultural landscapes, highlighting pathways for low-disturbance conservation and rural revitalization.
Agricultural cultural heritage reflects the long-term co-evolution of humans and the environment, resulting in unique agroecosystems and cultural landscapes. In the context of rural revitalization, balancing ecological protection with cultural development is critical. This study uses Xiping Town, Anxi County, Fujian, as a case study and applies the Minimum Cumulative Resistance (MCR) model to construct ecological and heritage corridors. The results identify 105 ecological corridors and 561 heritage corridors using ArcGIS 10.2. Through the superposition of the two corridor networks and buffer analysis, corridors with low ecological disturbance are identified, enabling coordinated ecological protection and cultural revitalization.
