The analytical procedures currently available for blood-lead analysis are discussed in terms of their suitability for: a) detection of acute lead poisoning; b) industrial hygiene control; and c) environmental pollution studies. The most useful techniques are those based on atomic absorption spectroscopy or anodic stripping voltammetry.
