The author presents a checklist of federal electoral maps of Canada from 1867 to 1970, together with the redistribution acts to which they pertain, based upon the holdings of the Public Archives of Canada and map collections in Toronto. The bibliography is preceded by an essay on the redistribution process and a commentary on the maps themselves: the coverage for various periods, the problem of dating, and their availability today.
