Drawing can be a powerful tool for exploring the concept of interiority—but what about the interiority of the drawing itself? This paper highlights the importance of drawing methods in parallel with the investigation of interiority. Using a project that employs drawings to explore urban interiority, it examines the intrinsic aspects of drawings, introducing the concept of processual interiority. Processual interiority refers to the reflexive engagement with method—in this case, drawings—through the iterative process of their production. It positions drawings not merely as instruments for engaging with interiority but as interiors in themselves. This perspective presents a potential for further advancing the thinking and practice of (urban) interiors, where the instrument of inquiry becomes inseparable from its subject.
