Abstract Image-tube spectra covering the range from 3500 to 5000 A at 40 A/mm have been obtained for 12 newly discovered subluminous O type stars. Descriptions of the spectra, finding charts, 1950.0 coordinates, and V-magnitudes are given for all 12 stars, and U-B and B-V colors are given for eight of them. Further studies of these stars will be important because: (1) some of them may be among the hottest known subdwarfs; (2) these stars are among the few O type subdwarfs which are bright enough to be studied at high spectroscopic resolution; and (3) most of them are near enough to the galactic plane that studies of the interstellar reddening and interstellar lines will enable their distances to be determined. Two of these stars appear to possess faint planetary nebulae.
