Measurements have been made of the current density distribution across a circular electrode and its variation with the hydrodynamic impedance of the test cell. An attempt is made to explain the results obtained by considering the electrically induced liquid flow patterns that could be present in the test cell and their resulting modification of the inter-electrode charge flow.
