This paper is a review of ID‐ and 2D‐NMR studies on polyamides in solution. This review includes the effects of the choice of solvent on NMR spectra, possibilities of sequence analysis in co‐ and terpolyamides using either 1 H‐ or 13 C‐NMR spectroscopy, discrimination between polyamide blends and copolyamides, and observation of cyclic polyamide species in a linear poly‐amide matrix.
