Methodological framework demonstrates XML-TEI encoding of AI-human dialogue in longevity and dementia research, highlighting ethical considerations in medical co-reasoning.
This poster was created for the TEI2026 conference in Vancouver. It was not presented in print but announced in the lightning talks section of the poster session (the slides of the lightnings talks section are included here, as well). Many thanks to Syd Bauman who performed the dialogue on the lightning talk slides together with the audience while I was still on the plane on my way to Vancouver. And thanks to Johann-Christian Poder for proofreading. The poster presents an interdisciplinary project on the topic of ethics and AI that is currently being prepared at the University of Rostock. Researchers from medicine, computer science, ethics, interdisciplinary research, and DH aim to jointly explore the role of AI agents in settings of medical co-reasoning and co-situatedness. To thisend, AI agents are developed and assessed in the area of longevity and dementia studies, focusing on ethical implications. The DH subproject in this initiative aims to create digital text corpora of chatlogs between AI agents and humans as a basis for medical corpus analysis.
