An excellent tool for gaining a better understanding of long‐distance exchange interactions in complicated systems, such as the S 2 Y Z . state of photosystem II, is provided by a relatively simple model for similar interactions between a dimanganese core and an organic radical in the complex [(Me 4 dtne)Mn III Mn IV (μ‐O) 2 (μ‐O 2 CPhNIT)](ClO 4 ) 2 . Dual‐mode EPR spectroscopy serves as an additional tool for determining the extent of these long‐distance dipolar coupling interactions. Me 4 dtne=1,2‐bis(4,7‐dimethyl‐1,4,7‐triazacyclonon‐1‐yl)ethane; HO 2 CPhNIT=2‐(4‐carboxyphenyl)‐4,4,5,5‐tetramethyl‐3‐oxyimidazolidin‐1‐oxide.
