This massive, generously illustrated, textbook has been prepared by two well-known radiologists with widely acclaimed expertise in the field of skeletal radiology. They have utilized a unique form of presentation that consists of 238 exercises involving a varying number of "question" films accompanied by brief clinical histories. The reader, after viewing these radiographic reproductions, is obliged to suggest a diagnosis or differential diagnosis. On succeeding pages the diagnoses are given and expanded upon with supportive films of the case presented and other similar cases. This type of presentation has a dual purpose, ie, to provide practical experience in film interpretation and to provide a source of reference in regard to skeletal radiology. Each major entity becomes a major topic of presentation and may be alluded to in subsequent parts of the book.
