An expression for ideal phonon limited resistivity is proposed. In this formula the electron-phonon coupling is factorised with a temperature dependent phonon part similar to that in the theory of superconductivity after McMillan. The calculation of transition metals resistivity using the Debye model for the phonon spectrum is presented.
