High temperature cures Wolbachia endocytobionts in their symbiotic Trichogramma hosts reproducing by thelytokous parthenogenesis, and restores a bisexual reproduction. This restoration occurs at a lower temperature in T. cordubensis than in T. pretiosum. High temperature affects host biological characteristics to a lesser extent in T. cordubensis than in T. pretiosum. Therefore, adaptive differences to thermal conditions not only exist among Wolbachia symbionts but also among their Trichogramma hosts, and these differences appear to be independent in the two partners.
