Psychological type and cognitive style have received considerable attention from educators with a wide range of interests. This article reviews the Jungian-based approach to cognitive style and describes a problem-solving approach using its component concepts. Though many opportunities exist for consideration of cognitive style in marketing, the authors focus on how the concepts can be used to guide problem solving in case analysis.
