Male broiler chickens were fed a practical corn-soy diet containing 0, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 5.0 or 10 p.p.m. PCB (Aroclor 1242) for a 58 day experimental period. There were no significant dietary effects on body weight, feed consumption and mortality. The PCB level of carcass lipid was determined after 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks of feeding the diets. The PCB levels in the carcass lipid after eight weeks of feeding the diets were 0.00, 0.13, 0.20, 0.54, 1.48 and 1.90 p.p.m. for the birds fed the diets containing 0, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0, 5.0 and 10.0 p.p.m. PCB, respectively.
