A versatile simulation method for modeling percolation in nanocomposites containing multiple fillers of arbitrary shapes is proposed. The regular or irregular filler shape is approximated by a polygon. The contact status between two fillers is identified by a sequential side-by-side procedure. An effective fitting approach for obtaining the relationship between percolation probability and filler volume fraction has also been developed. The results indicate that wavy nanotubes with a larger curl ratio have a higher percolation threshold, but the effect of curl ratio tends to decrease with the increase of nanotube aspect ratio.
