Trapping studies conducted by using virgin female traps indicate that more males of Platynota stultana Walsingham were attracted to the traps placed in established vineyards than any other crop. Larger numbers of males were caught in traps placed at 1.2 and 1.8 meters above the soil surface than any other higher or lower elevations. Traps placed in the fallow land at 0 and 10 meters from grapes attracted significantly more males than the traps placed at 20, 40, 80, or 160 meters away. Seasonal population fluctuation curve indicates 3 moth flight peaks during the period July-December 1970, and 6 during 1971.
