The wealth of human emotional expe-rience is made by aesthetic emotions. There are possibly thousands of aestheticemotions. They evolved relatively recentlycompared to basic emotions designatedby specific words. Measuring aestheticemotions, which may not be designatedby specific words, is more complicatedthan measuring basic emotions. Specificdifficulties have been discussed as wellas tentative approaches to overcomingthese difficulties. I challenge the experi-mental community to develop proceduresfor measuring aesthetic emotions beyondwords. REFERENCES Blood, A. J., and Zatorre, R. J. (2001).
