Why the study?
Differential diagnosis between right ventricular myxoma and ventricular thrombus is challenging in the emergency setting and requires early treatment.
Cardiac MRI and histopathology are crucial for differentiating right ventricular myxoma from thrombus in patients presenting with a right ventricular mass.
In this study, we presented a case of right ventricle’s mass, seen at bedside transthoracic echocardiography, in paucisymptomatic patient with familiarity for coagulation factors disorders. Differential diagnosis between myxoma and ventricular thrombus is challenging for emergency physician and early treatment is mandatory. Contrast echocardiography could help in first evaluation but only cardiac MRI and thus histopathology characterize the mass and confirm the diagnosis.
