Case analysis demonstrates a process maturity framework for blood donation centers, highlighting operational criteria to enhance donor service quality.
The article presents the assumptions and criteria for assessing the process maturity model developed to improve the quality of blood donor service in blood donation and blood therapy centers. The methodological basis was a literature review and case analysis of public blood service units, in cooperation with the National Blood Center (NBC) in Warsaw. The research was conducted as part of the project "Improving the quality of management in blood donation and blood therapy centers" implemented by NBC in 2022-2023. The model, developed by the author as a logistics expert, is multidimensional and allows for the assessment of the level of process maturity of CKiK. It takes into account the specificity of operational activities and donor relations as key elements of the quality of medical services provided by the centers. The publication contains proposals for the practical use of the model as a tool supporting management and improving service standards.
